students' report

We went to Turkey on 11 - 15th April with the Comenius project. We met Polish, Germany and Turkish students. It was a great experience. We met new people and new friends of different countries. We saw a fabolous city and we ate typical dishes for example: the kebab. We also visited the ancient city of Ephesus, it is a involuable heritage of Roman and Byzantine civilizations, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The Turkish students are very friendly and warmly. This experience was very important for us we could know and learn the traditions of this, country that looks so far but it is very similar to ours, expecially for us Southern Italian students. We discovered that we are a lot in common with Turkish people not only from the culture point of view but above all from every day habits.

In December 2009 eight students from Nautical Institute of Crotone with two teachers: Vincenza Massara and Ottavio Tirantola went to Poland, the journey was rather long , they had to reach Podgrozie in the North of Poland but once arrived they met some friendly guys from Poland , German and Turkey. The visit was great even if the weather was really cold. They stayed all together in a students’ house , had some project work, some sport activity but above all they had a lot of fun.

The German experience in Lemgo was very useful not only from educational point of view, but also from social point of view. We met many guys from different countries and we had the possibility to discover their life style and habits sharing together fun and study.

One day we went to Hamburg where we visited the harbour and we saw a lot of ships . At the port we visited the tunnel under the sea and of course the city. It was a really cold day and the cold stung our face, but we felt well because of the warm friendship we were able to create.

We wish we were in Germany.
